About
Welcome to Melbourne Laphing Station, a vibrant food truck situated at Atc Cook Reserve in Glenroy, VIC. As a passionate food enthusiast, my taste buds were immediately awakened by the authentic flavors of Nepalese street food that this hidden gem offers. With a cozy atmosphere and welcoming staff, Melbourne Laphing Station creates a community-oriented dining experience that resonates with both locals and visitors alike.
The star of the menu is undoubtedly the Jhol Laphing, priced at A$11.99. This dish encapsulates the essence of traditional street food with its soft, spicy noodles that deliver a delightful tangy punch. Each bite transports you back to the bustling streets of Nepal, making it a must-try for anyone craving genuine flavors. Additionally, the Aloo Nimki (A$9.99) and the succulent chicken sausages (A$9.99) serve as perfect complements to your culinary journey here.
From the reviews I've encountered, diners rave about the care that goes into every dish. One customer described it best: “Every dish feels homemade, comforting, and incredibly satisfying.” The affordable pricing does not compromise the quality, making it accessible for everyone wishing to indulge in a slice of authentic Nepali culture. Whether you're a seasoned aficionado or a newcomer, the variety of flavors caters to all preferences, with options ranging from Veg (A$11.99) to Buff (A$14.99).
The unique dining experience here is heightened by the cozy seating and an atmosphere that encourages sharing food and stories. Customers have noted the friendly service, the engaging vibe, and the feeling of being welcomed into someone's home rather than just another food truck. One patron emphasized this by saying, “It’s more than just food; it’s an experience, a reminder of home.”
So if you find yourself in Melbourne, make it a point to visit Melbourne Laphing Station. It's not just a place to eat; it’s a culinary adventure waiting to be discovered. Trust me, you won't regret the flavorful memories you will create here!
“ If you’re looking for a truly authentic street food experience in Melbourne, Melbourne Laphing Station is a hidden gem you simply can’t miss. From the moment I took the first bite, I was instantly transported back to the vibrant streets of my home country – the flavours, the spices, the texture – everything was spot on. The laphing here is made just right: soft, spicy, and bursting with the traditional tangy, chilli-rich punch that every laphing lover craves. Whether you like it mild or fiery hot, they cater to all taste preferences without compromising authenticity. It’s rare to find a place that captures the true essence of our street food culture so well, especially in a foreign land. Every dish feels homemade, comforting, and incredibly satisfying. I highly recommend everyone – whether you’re familiar with this dish or trying it for the first time – to visit Melbourne Laphing Station at least once. It’s more than just food; it’s an experience, a reminder of home, and a delicious discovery for newcomers. ”
“ We visited your food truck few days ago and it was absolutely worth it. Food is delicious and pricing is perfect. Staff seem very friendly, kind and helpful. Everyone, must visit once. Good luck guys. ”
“ It had been over 7 years since I last tasted authentic Nepali street food—but this food truck brought me right back home, even if just for a moment. We live in the southeast, and it was a 1.5-hour drive just to get there, but honestly, it was completely worth the drive and every cent spent. The flavours were spot on, the portions were generous, and the prices were surprisingly affordable. If you’re craving typical Nepali street food in a foreign land, this place is a must-visit. I 100% recommend it. Don’t miss it—you’ll thank yourself later! ”
“ Pretty amazing and different way to experience street food at this food truck station. Super affordable. We tried this new way of eating dry Nepali noodles, apparently called Laphing (both versions, dry and juicy), as well as Sadheko Nimki, very popular Nepali momo, and chicken sausages. The momo and chicken sausages were amazing and full of flavor. So was the Sadheko Nimki. The Laphing was just different and was okay to my liking. ”
“ Visited Capital Laphing with family and loved it! Cozy Nepali-style seating, live music was amazing and delicious food, the owner, was so welcoming and passionate. Only wish we had more time there. ”
“ Honestly the best Asian food I have eaten in Melbourne. The food was spicy and perfect! Took me back to India. Try their momos and noodles! Honestly everything is awesome plus the service was very good and welcoming! I wish they had a branch in City or Hawthorne as I had to drive 1 hour (40km) to get their food but it was worth it! ”
“ Best place to have momos especially if you are missing Delhi momos. The flavour, that spicy chutney everything was too good and beyond my expectations. ”
“ Been there couple of times, love everything they serve. Easy recommendation for tasty nepalese food any day. Now with the restaurant open, its more convenient as well. ”
